Susan Rees

President and CEO

Susan Rees, The Rees Group President and CEO, has over 20 years of association experience.  Currently the Executive Director of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Susan spent 12 years with the Credit Union National Association (CUNA & Affiliates) as the director of their educational publishing division.   Susan has an extensive background in association management, marketing and regulatory affairs, as well as print and electronic publishing.  She is also an award-winning video producer, having produced educational videos and films for the financial training market.  Susan spent two years with Forbes Inc., publisher of Forbes, FYI, ASAP, American Heritage, and American Legacy magazines as an international acquisitions editor in the book publishing division.  At Forbes, Susan worked with businesses and associations to produce books, manuals, web sites and CD-ROMs for general retail sales distribution, or distribution through the business or association.  Susan has been principal of TRG since 2000, and has grown the management company from five clients, to its current 19.

John Hofmann

John Hofmann

Vice President, IT

Vice President of Information Technology, web designer John Hofmann has degrees in agricultural economics and aircraft maintenance. He has wide-ranging experience in technical writing and web technologies, including developing a custom database system for The Rees Group, to facilitate membership coordination, and ties directly to our client websites and their renewal and registration functions. John also developed an abstract submission and review application, which several of our medical and research clients use for their meeting abstract and full paper submissions. He is proficient in HTML, ColdFusion and PHP and coding languages. John also keeps The Rees Group computers and networks in efficient working order, and creates and updates client websites and databases. John understands associations and how they use websites. This gives him a decided advantage when working with yours.

Jane Shepard

Director of Meetings

Jane Shepard supervises TRGʼs three meeting planners on staff, and any of the contract support staff or companies that support our clients and their meeting and event functions. She has worked over 30 years as an association meeting planner, and holds her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International as well as the Professional Convention Management Association. She has served in Board positions at the state level and on several Convention and Visitor Bureau advisory teams throughout the country. Jane holds a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
